Yosemite Spring

Spring in Yosemite blooms with color, especially after a wet spring. This painting followed on the heels of a very wet spring and winter, and the dogwood were gorgeous. Brialveil Falls is in the background, known to Native American People as Pohono, or Puffing Wind. My family always said it meant Spirit of the Evil Wind because of the warm winds that blew through there.
