Estuary, Mendocino

Recently, on a painting trip to the northern California coast, the sun warmed the colors and us from blue to warm reds and greens. This river mouth and bluff began their morning enshrouded in fog. We could hear the ocean, but not see it. Fortunately, by 10 am., the sun changed everything. Once my fingers were pliable again, the rest was easy.
